Today will be my first day as a teacher, my classroom keys
were given to me 2 weeks before the beginning of school. I have been decorating
and organizing my classroom, I have separated my classroom in 3 learning sections
with short book shelves. The first section is the main section with desks and
chairs, there are 5 single tables that seat 4 each and one “U” shaped table
that I will use as my main desk and seat my remaining students if any.
The next section I have prepared is a reading section where I
have set a big chair for me sit while my students sit with their legs crossed
and hear the days story, which relates to the daily/weekly lesson. This is also where I will engage my students in learning by asking them about the 5 W's and the How about the story and ask how the story relates to the weekly lesson.
The third section is the learning stations where I set up
the daily/weekly activities, each of my students will have their name set up on
a bulletin board showing which station they will be working on and when they
finish with a station they will go to the board again and go to the next
station as shown on the board.
I will have a fun time learning how to work with my students
this year, behind my desk I will display my personal growths as a teacher, and
show my students that it is a good thing to grow as a person and always
positively. I will display their work and teach them to be proud of what they
have done.
This will be an exciting year.
